Title: Property Surveyor

Location: Remote with regular travel across Coventry

Hours: 37.5 per week

Contract: 6 month FTC

Salary: circa £39,888 - £41,987 + £5,800 car allowance

You’ll play an important role in coordinating property services across around 36 locations, helping to manage day‑to‑day activity while contributing to longer‑term planning. Your input will help maintain the quality and performance of our locations.

You’ll carry out regular site visits, stock condition checks, surveys and inspections to make sure our buildings stay safe, complaint and well cared for. You’ll work closely with housing colleagues to ensure our services run smoothly.

Whether you’re supporting day‑to‑day works or contributing to longer‑term plans, you’ll ensure all activity is delivered cost‑effectively, within contract requirements and in line with our property strategy.

You’ll work hand‑in‑hand with contractors and our quantity surveying team to monitor performance, identify efficiencies, deliver accurate forecasts and secure value for money.

You’ll diagnose building issues – from general maintenance concerns to more complex building pathology such as damp, mould and condensation – and work collaboratively to ensure remediation is effective, affordable and timely.

Qualifications
  • Experience managing property services within housing or a similar environment.
  • Knowledge of social housing maintenance, compliance and investment.
  • Understanding of building pathology and ability to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Experience managing or delivering planned works, compliance services and / or repairs.
  • Ability to analyse property performance data and inform future planning.
  • Strong stakeholder skills with the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
  • HNC / D in property‑related subject or significant relevant experience.
