Opportunity

As Projects Lawyer in this market-leading team, you will play a key role in advising on high-value, strategically significant projects across the UK and internationally. You’ll work alongside market-leading specialists on complex PFI/PPP contracts, project variations, operational delivery, and the emerging challenges of contract expiry and handback. This is an exciting stage for the PFI/PPP market, offering significant scope to develop your technical expertise and commercial insight. You’ll have real client contact, involvement in business development, and the opportunity to shape the next phase of the team’s success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver complex PFI/PPP and infrastructure projects, advising both public and private sector clients.
  • Advise on the operational management, variation, and interpretation of long-term service contracts.
  • Support clients on PFI expiry and post-PFI service delivery arrangements.
  • Work collaboratively with specialists across the firm including construction, finance, corporate, real estate, and regulatory.
  • Mentor and develop junior lawyers, contributing to the team’s ongoing growth and excellence.
  • Play an active role in business development and thought leadership within the infrastructure sector.
Candidate Requirements
  • 5+ years’ PQE gained in a recognised Projects, Commercial, or Infrastructure team.
  • Strong understanding of PFI/PPP frameworks, infrastructure delivery, and ongoing service operation.
  • Experience advising on complex contracts for public infrastructure projects.
  • A commercial mindset, able to deliver pragmatic and solutions-focused advice.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships.
