Project Manager – Water / Utilities

Salary: £50k - £70k + Pkg

Location: North London

Regions: Hertfordshire, London, Middlesex

A Regional Civil Engineering utilities Contractor seeks an Experienced Project Manager to manage a variety of utility & water schemes across the SE varying in value up to £30m. Working as part of the management team, reporting to the Regional Director and managing site teams consisting of Agents, Sub Agent, Engineers, Foreman and Sub Contractors.

Ideal Candidate
  • Must have extensive experience of operating at PM level on civil engineering schemes
  • Previous experience of civil, earthworks, Highways/Roads and Design and Build Projects
  • Degree qualified and have the ability to manage a project team
Responsibilities
  • To profitably complete projects in accordance with the clients specifications and to ensure client satisfaction
  • Plan resources and ensure any shortfalls / over re-sourcing issues are resolved in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Coordinate and manage any interface with other parts of the division
  • Ensure all personnel within your control including subcontractors work in accordance with the company policies, are trained, competent and aware and in particular work safely
  • Jointly prepare project Cost Value Reports & Contract Status Reports with commercial staff
  • Liaison with estimating to provide value engineering expertise, lessons learnt etc to allow the division to submit quality, competitive tenders to our clients
  • To deliver project schemes profitably and to time to enhance companies reputation and look to further business
  • To assist in recognising new client targets and developing an approach to target with Commercial Manager
