Our client BAE Systems, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is looking for a Lead Project Professional to join their Submarine Solutions business unit in Barrow on a 12-month contract basis. This opportunity involves working in a hybrid arrangement, with 2-3 days on-site each week, contributing to the programme integration team. The role requires a professional with a strong understanding of project management principles and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing project delivery and ensuring alignment with strategic goals
• Integrating various programme elements within the submarine solutions team
• Utilising standard MS toolsets for project monitoring and control
• Managing and reporting project costs and employing Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques
• Facilitating effective communication and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Mentoring and providing guidance to an apprentice within the team
• Ensuring compliance with security protocols and ITAR regulations
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives

Job Requirements:

• Experience in project management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for project planning and monitoring
