Job description

A well-established consultancy based in Newcastle is currently looking for a Project Manager with strong experience in healthcare projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to work across a variety of hospital, clinical, and medical facility schemes, supporting high-profile clients across the North East. As a Project Manager, you will join a team known for delivering complex healthcare developments on time and within budget.

This role would suit a Project Manager who enjoys working in client-facing environments and wants to progress within a multidisciplinary setup. The team offers a collaborative environment with the chance to work on both refurbishment and new-build healthcare schemes. The Project Manager will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.

The Project Manager’s role

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading multiple healthcare-related projects from feasibility through to completion. Key responsibilities will include managing stakeholder relationships, producing project documentation, reporting progress, and coordinating with design, cost, and engineering teams to meet client objectives.

You will also ensure projects comply with healthcare regulations and clinical requirements, often working on live hospital environments. Strong communication, organisational skills, and a proven ability to work under pressure are essential.

The Project Manager
  • Proven experience working as a Project Manager in a consultancy or client-side setting

  • Demonstrable experience delivering healthcare projects (NHS or private sector)

  • Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field

  • Ideally chartered or working towards MRICS / MAPM / MCIOB

  • Strong understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts

  • Full UK driving licence preferred
