This is a practical role requiring strong organisation, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently.

The project consists of four key phases:

  • Decommissioning the current site in Folkestone
  • Refurbishment of the “new” unit in Ashford
  • Installation and recommissioning of all machinery at the Ashford site
  • Dilapidation works at the Folkestone site, completed to an agreed standard

Each phase includes numerous sub-tasks such as obtaining and evaluating quotes, contractor negotiations, scheduling works, managing budgets, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage an end-to-end project plan covering all four phases
  • Source, appoint, and manage contractors and suppliers
  • Obtain, review, and negotiate quotes and contracts
  • Coordinate site works, machinery moves, installations, and recommissioning
  • Agree and manage realistic timescales across all workstreams
  • Ensure all works meet agreed specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements
  • Manage risks, issues, and dependencies proactively
  • Oversee dilapidation works and sign‑off against agreed standards
  • Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and senior management
  • Ensure project delivery within agreed budget and timeframe
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-site projects
  • Strong background in refurbishment, relocation, or industrial / manufacturing environments
  • Experience coordinating contractors and technical specialists
  • Excellent organisational, negotiation, and communication skills
