Job description

Project Manager

Opportunity for a Project Manager to join an established company that specialises in Civil Engineering & Groundwork Projects across Devon & Cornwall.

Due to a number of new sites starting and an increase in workload, the group are seeking a Project Manager to lead a Highways project along the stunning South East coast of Devon for approximately 8 months.

As the Project Manager, you will oversee and deliver a project worth up to £4 million, ensuring that it's completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Projects vary and can include residential developments, roads & infrastructure, retaining walls, and bulk excavation and surfacing.

Daily duties include:
  1. Manage the site team to ensure that the projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  2. Provide administrative and technical duties, including site supervision, coordination of subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  3. Assist in preparing and submitting project reports to the Site Manager and other stakeholders.
  4. Provide technical assistance and support to the site team.
  5. Assist in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  6. Help in the preparation of method statements and risk assessments.

Due to the nature of the projects, it is also essential that you have a driving licence as travel between the sites is essential, as well as the following:

  • Degree qualified (industry relevant degree) or equivalent.
  • SSSTS/SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • First Aid at Work
