Job summary

Optio Resourcing is recruiting a Project Manager for retail fit-out projects in Birmingham. You will manage the full lifecycle of schemes, coordinate programmes, budgets, quality and H&S across multiple live projects.

You will lead site teams and supply chain, act as client contact in progress meetings, and report on variations and costs with the commercial team. A strong background in retail interiors and essential safety certifications is required.

Qualifications

• Proven Project Manager in retail fit-out, shopfitting or commercial interiors.
• Strong track record delivering live-environment and new-build store projects.
• Excellent client-facing, communication and leadership skills.
• Commercially aware, with experience managing project budgets.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (essential).
• Relevant degree or construction qualification is desirable.

We're working with a leading retail fit-out contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver high-profile retail projects across [Location] and the surrounding area.

The Role

• Full project lifecycle management of retail fit-out and refurbishment schemes, from pre-start through to handover
• Managing programme, budget, quality and health and safety across multiple live projects
• Leading site teams, subcontractors and supply chain to deliver on time and within budget
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, attending progress meetings and producing reports
• Overseeing variations, cost control and financial reporting alongside the commercial team
• Ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations and company H&S procedures

The Candidate

• Proven Project Manager experience within retail fit-out, shopfitting or commercial interiors
• Strong track record of delivering live-environment and new-build store projects
