Job summary

Optio Resourcing in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead retail fit-out projects across Cardiff and the surrounding area. You will manage the full lifecycle of schemes, from pre-start to handover, with a focus on delivering on time and within budget.

The role requires strong client-facing skills, leadership, and a proven track record in retail fit-out or commercial interiors, plus budget management experience and relevant safety qualifications.

Job Title: Project Manager - Retail Fit-Out

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Car Allowance + Package

We're working with a leading retail fit-out contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver high-profile retail projects across [Location] and the surrounding area.

The Role

• Full project lifecycle management of retail fit-out and refurbishment schemes, from pre-start through to handover
• Managing programme, budget, quality and health and safety across multiple live projects
• Leading site teams, subcontractors and supply chain to deliver on time and within budget
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, attending progress meetings and producing reports
• Overseeing variations, cost control and financial reporting alongside the commercial team
• Ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations and company H&S procedures

The Candidate

• Proven Project Manager experience within retail fit-out, shopfitting or commercial interiors
• Strong track record of delivering live-environment and new-build store projects
• Excellent client-facing, communication and leadership skills
• Commercially aware, with experience managing project budgets
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (essential)
• Relevant degree or construction qualification (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
