Job summary

Optio Resourcing seeks an experienced Project Manager for retail fit-out and refurbishment schemes in Exeter and surrounding areas. You will manage full project lifecycles, budgets, and health and safety across live projects while leading site teams and coordinating with clients.

Essential: SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, and a relevant construction qualification. Driving licence and willingness to travel are required for this on-site role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail fit-out, shopfitting or commercial interiors.
• Strong client-facing and leadership skills.
• Experience delivering live and new-build store projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage full project lifecycle from pre-start to handover.
• Oversee programme, budget, quality and health & safety across multiple live projects.
• Lead site teams, subcontractors and supply chain to deliver on time and budget.
• Act as main client contact, attend progress meetings and produce reports.
• Oversee variations, cost control and financial reporting with commercial team.
• Ensure CDM and site H&S compliance.

Job Title: Project Manager - Retail Fit-Out

Location: Exeter

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Car Allowance + Package

We're working with a leading retail fit-out contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver high-profile retail projects across [Location] and the surrounding area.

The Role

• Full project lifecycle management of retail fit-out and refurbishment schemes, from pre-start through to handover
• Managing programme, budget, quality and health and safety across multiple live projects
• Leading site teams, subcontractors and supply chain to deliver on time and within budget
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, attending progress meetings and producing reports
• Overseeing variations, cost control and financial reporting alongside the commercial team
• Ensuring full compliance with CDM regulations and company H&S procedures

The Candidate

• Proven Project Manager experience within retail fit-out, shopfitting or commercial interiors
• Strong track record of delivering live-environment and new-build store projects
• Excellent client-facing, communication and leadership skills
• Commercially aware, with experience managing project budgets
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid (essential)
• Relevant degree or construction qualification (desirable)
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
