Job Description

As aProgramme Managerat London Gatwick, you'll lead astrategically important programme of works, covering a series ofinterrelated projects within alive airport operational environment.


This is anexciting and varied programme, spanning everything fromterminal and passenger experience upgradestocritical infrastructure and resilience projects. You'll play a key role in shaping strategic projects across ourentire customer journey— from the moment customers drive on local roads, park in our car parks, check in, pass through security, shop in our departure lounges, through to boarding their flights.


You'll deliver awide variety of impactful projectsthat directly improve the experience of millions of passengers each year. Working in a live operational environment, you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of one of the world's busiest airports.


Our projects span the airport, with our smaller works division delivering projects ranging from£500k to £20 million. The current portfolio includesretail unit refurbishments and fit-outs, International Departure Lounge (IDL) refurbishments with full FFE, and upgrades to meet our NetZero commitment.


What is the role?


Reporting into the Capital Programmes Director, you will:



  • Lead and oversee a diverse programmeof projects, guiding teams through procurement, delivery, and handover phases.

  • Ensure projects are well-coordinated and aligned to meet programme and business objectives.

  • Work closely with operations to ensure smooth Airport Operational Readiness for every handover.

  • Identify and manage risks while minimising operational disruption.

  • Inspire, coach, and develop your team to deliver world-class outcomes.


What are we looking for?



  • Proven experience as a Programme Manager or Senior Project Manager deliveringmulti-year, multi-disciplinary infrastructure programmes, typically in excess of £50 million.

  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary projects with a mechanical, electrical, or building services element, alongside other disciplines.

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing at all levels, including board level.

  • Proven ability to manage internal teams and external contractors in a live operational environment.

  • Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment.
