£33,210 - £39,419 FTE (£13,463.51 - £15,980.68 pro rata per annum)

About the role

We are seeking a resilient, motivated, and innovative Programme Leader to join our experienced Psychology team. This is predominantly a teaching role, with responsibilities centred on delivering high-quality, engaging lectures and supporting student learning across a range of programmes.

Role & Expectations
  • Deliver innovative and inspiring lectures in Psychology and related subjects.
  • Teach across programmes within the faculty, including Psychology, Health, and Social Science degrees.
  • Support the Programme Leader with programme management, contributing to the smooth running and development of the curriculum.
  • Monitor and support student progress, offering guidance and feedback to help learners achieve their potential.
  • Analyse programme data to evaluate outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement.
About the person
  • Higher Education teaching experience with a proven ability to deliver engaging and innovative lectures.
  • An MSc in Psychology (specialism preferable), with strong subject knowledge across core and applied areas.
  • Graduate membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS) or registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in a specialist psychology area.
  • Resilience and motivation, with a commitment to supporting student success and progression.
  • Creativity and innovation in teaching practice, with the ability to adapt to diverse learning needs.
  • Strong analytical skills to monitor student progress and interpret programme data for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively within an experienced academic team and across faculty programmes (including Health and Social Science degrees).
