A leading Defence and Aerospace company in Bristol is seeking a Production Technician for a permanent role. You will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing products while ensuring that all work adheres to technical specifications and the IPC 610 standards. The ideal candidate should have experience in a complex technical environment and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills. This position offers a competitive salary between £30,000 - £35,000.

Qualifications

  • Experience working within a highly technical, secure, and complex environment.
  • Ability to attain and maintain IPC-A-610 standard.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, inspect, and test products to ensure specifications are met.
  • Document and repair products through analysis and inspection.
  • Follow technical engineering documents to complete tasks.
  • Manage Foreign Object Debris and Electrostatic Discharge protocols.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for production efficiency.

Overview

Production Technician – Permanent role. Based in Bristol. Offering between £30,000 - £35,000.

Do you have experience in Assembly, Inspection, and Testing products? Do you have experience working to IPC 610 standards? Do you want to work with an industry-leading company? If your answer to these is yes, then this could be the role for you!

As the Production Technician, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing products to ensure they meet specifications
  • Responsible for disassembly, survey, inspection, documenting, and repairing of products
  • Read, interpret, and follow the technical engineering documents required to complete tasks
  • Follow instructions & documentation precisely
  • Follow processes to ensure the effective management of FOD (Foreign Object Debris), Tool Control, Electrostatic Discharge, Security of Assets, etc.
  • Participate in health & safety training as required and perform health & safety roles as needed (e.g. fire marshal, etc)
  • Highlight and identify any issues and engage in structured problem-solving activities to identify root causes and solutions
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and efficiency
  • Follow procedures to perform preventive maintenance and/or calibration tasks, reporting any issues found
  • Maintain records of assembly processes, tests, and inspections performed
Qualifications

  • Ability to attain and maintain IPC-A-610 standard, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies
