Two weekend night shifts available:

  1. Thursday, Friday 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and Saturday, Sunday, 5:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
  2. Saturday, Sunday, 5:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. and Monday, Tuesday, 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
Responsibilities

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of manufacturing and continuous improvement activities for an assigned manufacturing area and shift. The Production Supervisor will report to a Sr. Operations Manager and will have up to 40 direct reports. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating cross-functional teams to maximize safety, quality, delivery and cost initiatives
  • Meeting daily, weekly and monthly production requirements, metrics and goals
  • Training, coaching, mentoring and evaluating the hourly workforce
  • Identifying, initiating and maintaining process improvements, including efficiency improvements, scrap reductions and eliminating equipment downtime
  • Leading employee development and holding the team accountable on the assigned shift
  • Managing multiple project timelines simultaneously
  • Participating and leading Kaizen events to improve processes and eliminate waste
  • Monitoring and approving timekeeping for hourly staff
  • Reviewing and scheduling material changes in the ERP system and making needed adjustments
  • Maintaining manpower goals by working with staffing services and human resources to attract and recruit talent
  • Working with planning and shipping, making adjustments when needed
  • Assisting with root cause analysis and establishing countermeasures
  • Completing shift reports and communicating with incoming supervisors at shift change
  • Coordinating safety and quality training
  • Completing ongoing training initiatives
  • Other duties as directed by management
Qualifications & Requirements
  1. A minimum of an associate’s degree is required; a Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred
  2. At least two years of RECENT manufacturing supervision experience
  3. Experience overseeing production, ideally in high-volume or mass-production environments
  4. Experience overseeing at least 20 individuals
  5. Non-union supervision experience
  6. Experience identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in assigned manufacturing areas (examples include scrap reductions, elimination of downtime, etc.)
  7. Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Preferred/Optional Skills
  1. GMP experience
  2. Mechanical aptitude
  3. Experience working in consumer products manufacturing
  4. ERP experience
  5. Process-oriented manufacturing environments
  6. Formal Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen training
