Production Manager Wanted for Leading Accident Repair Centre in York
Our client, a well-established and rapidly expanding accident repair group with multiple locations across the UK, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join their brand-new facility in York.
About the Role
- Salary: £45,000 – £49,800 OTE per annum
- Working Hours: 7.00am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, with 1 in 2 Saturdays (flexible based on business needs)

Key Responsibilities of the Production Manager
- Support the day-to-day running of the Bodyshop to meet performance and quality targets
- Manage workshop activities in the absence of the Bodyshop Manager
- Provide technical guidance on vehicle body repairs, including panel repair, refinishing, welding, alignments, and structural work
- Conduct quality checks to ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards and customer expectations
- Assist with parts ordering, review job packs, and manage administrative tasks
- Mentor and develop technicians to improve productivity and teamwork
- Track progress, manage workloads, and ensure timely completion of repairs
- Manage stock levels, order materials, and maintain workshop tools and equipment
- Uphold health and safety standards across the workshop environment
Requirements of this Production Manager role
- Strong technical background in vehicle body repair with hands-on workshop experience
- Knowledge of structural and mechanical vehicle repairs
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience within a Bodyshop or similar environment is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced setting
- Attention to detail and a dedication to delivering quality workmanship
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a workshop environment
- Valid UK driving license is essential
