Overview

Production Manager / General Manufacturing / Reading - 55,000 - 60,000 + 18% bonus + 10% pension

My Client is a very successful manufacturer and a market leader in its sector and product type. The business is transforming to become leaner and more world class and requires a first class Production Manager to lead this change.

Responsibilities
  • Lead operational improvement (SQCDP) in a process industry with a large-scale manufacturing footprint while managing a modest headcount (4 Shift Managers, 36 Shift Based Supervisors and Operators).
  • Drive performance by developing and implementing strategies to improve quality, safety, cost, delivery, and people (SQCDP).
  • Develop direct reports through mentoring, coaching, and challenging the team to achieve results.
  • Monitor KPIs, identify gaps, and implement effective solutions to bring metrics back to target levels.
  • Lead change initiatives to transform the operation toward leaner, world-class processes.
