Overview

Independent Forgings and Alloys Ltd (IFA) are continuing to invest and grow, and we are looking to add to our Production team. We are now looking for an experienced Production Tooling Engineer. Over the last few years, we have invested in the business and have successfully doubled our turnover. We are looking to continue this growth and are looking to for the right people to help us join our team.

Responsibilities
  • The Production Engineer is responsible for collaborating with production, quality, and design teams to ensure tooling meets product specifications and manufacturing requirements. You\'ll conduct tooling feasibility studies to validate designs and improve tooling performance and maintain and develop PPM schedule to maintain all die shop machinery and maximise availability.
  • Ensuring Health, Safety and Quality adherence always.
  • Day to day activities ensuring adherence to plan/KPIs and monitor performance.
  • Maintain forging dies and tooling for both open and closed die forging processes.
  • Develop/Maintain tooling spares plan.
  • Tooling and dies delivered on time and within budget.
  • Analyse tooling failures and implement corrective actions to improve tool life and performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including tooling drawings, specifications, and maintenance records.
  • Maintain/develop/improve tooling and die PPM schedule to eliminate tooling failures.
Your background
