Job summary

A creative services company based in South East London is seeking a Production Accountant/Finance Manager for maternity cover working 3 days a week. The ideal candidate will manage the finance department independently, ensure accurate client budgets and provide financial analysis. Job description
Production Accountant / Finance Manager – Maternity Leave, 3 days a week

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 annual equivalent (£27k‑£33k) for a 3‑day week; maternity leave commencing mid‑August in South East London.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the finance department as the sole finance role, reporting to the Managing Director and Freelance Finance Director.
  • Work closely with the Production team to ensure client budgets are accurate and jobs are fully reconciled.
  • Attend board meetings to report on company figures and support ad‑hoc company processes and decisions.
  • Handle day‑to‑day accounting: posting invoices, raising sales invoices, paying suppliers, reconciling bank accounts, and producing monthly Management Accounts with variance analysis.
  • Prepare and manage cash‑flow forecasts, company forecasts, and financial analysis measuring project success.
  • Prepare and account for all VAT, PAYE, tax, and monthly payroll; assist the Finance Director with ad‑hoc projects.
Qualifications
  • Part‑qualified or fully qualified (QBE) accountant preferred.
  • Strong Paprika skills and relevant experience within the creative sector.
  • Confident, outgoing, and able to work independently in a sole finance role.
