  • LLB (or equivalent) from an accredited law school; an LLM is a plus.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization in your jurisdiction and be willing to travel domestically and internationally.
  • At least 5 years post‑qualification experience, including at least 3 years in an in‑house corporate environment.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in additional languages such as French, Spanish, Dutch, or German is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pragmatic legal advice to product and engineering teams focused on IDV, biometrics, fraud, AI, and platform services.
  • Advise on product launches and iterations ensuring alignment with privacy, AML/KYC, and related laws.
  • Translate regulatory and legal requirements into actionable advice for global product and engineering teams.
  • Review and negotiate product‑related agreements, including data sharing terms and government contracting.
  • Support new market and product entrances across the globe by mapping jurisdiction‑specific requirements.
  • Liaise with external counsel and internal teams on legal strategy and documentation.
  • Partner with compliance and commercial legal colleagues on cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of internal policies and scalable legal frameworks.
  • Support strategic partner relationships and ensure legal readiness.

Position Overview

Entrust is seeking a commercially minded and dynamic Corporate Attorney with a passion for technology‑driven innovation to join our fast‑growing and customer‑focused global legal team. Your role will involve supporting our product, engineering, expansion, and compliance teams in our identity segment to help ensure we scale our identity verification and AI‑enabled offerings globally in a compliant and thoughtful way. You will navigate the evolving legislative and regulatory landscape impacting Entrust’s cutting‑edge products and services, including AI‑powered solutions within our Onfido brand. This will also include supporting our broader go‑to‑market strategies and driving compliance across global regulatory frameworks. Responsibilities
  • Provide pragmatic, solution‑oriented legal advice to product and engineering teams focusing on our IDV, biometrics, fraud, AI, and platform services along with the rest of Entrust’s product portfolio.
  • Advise on product launches and iterations from discovery through deployment, ensuring alignment with privacy, AML/KYC, eID, consumer protection, and platform liability laws.
  • Translate regulatory and legal requirements into actionable advice for global product and engineering teams.
  • Review and negotiate product‑related agreements, including data sharing terms, commercial integrations, and government contracting components.
  • Provide legal support for new market and product entrances across the globe (LATAM, EMEA, APAC) by mapping and tracking jurisdiction‑specific requirements.
  • Liaise with external counsel and collaborate with internal teams on legal strategy, documentation, and timeline feasibility.
  • Partner with privacy, compliance, and commercial legal colleagues on cross‑functional initiatives involving AI, biometrics, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Contribute to the development of internal policies, governance tools, and scalable legal frameworks.
  • Support strategic partner relationships and ensure legal readiness across high‑impact go‑to‑market efforts.
  • Deal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal and related areas and identify proactive solutions that will mitigate risks in a practical business manner.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
