A public sector organization is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer based in Culham. The role involves leading tenders, ensuring compliance with procurement processes, and managing contracts. Applicants must be MCIPS Level 6 qualified with experience in public sector procurement. The position offers a salary up to £46,849, hybrid working, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Based at HQ Culham, Oxfordshire (hybrid working). Salary up to £46,849 (dependent on experience) plus a £2,000 South East allowance per annum and generous benefits package. Permanent, 37.5 hours per week.

Our Procurement team is undergoing growth, and we’re looking for someone to provide an ongoing and senior level procurement service within the CNC. Procurement at the CNC is a critical matter to ensure we meet legal obligations and achieve value for money. You will identify, scope, evaluate, award and implement a broad range of contracts on behalf of the Police Authority and Constabulary.
You’ll be involved in projects by providing proactive support and expertise to customers and managing the contractual/procurement aspects. You’ll also contribute to the evolution of the Constabulary’s commercial terms and conditions, policies and working practices. This will involve challenging and quality-assuring work undertaken by senior CNC managers in relation to procurement and contractual undertakings. You’ll lead tenders from end-to-end, identify risks, and implement CNC and government strategic procurement processes.
• Lead end-to-end tenders from inception to award within the public sector procurement framework.
• Identify risks and ensure compliance with CNC and government procurement processes.
• Provide procurement expertise to stakeholders and manage a wide range of goods and services (including Professional Services, IT, FM, Travel/Fleet).
• Negotiate and manage contracts; stay updated on procurement/contract law and strategies.
• Support evolution of procurement policies and working practices; ensure value for money and legal compliance.
