Overview

Procurement Manager position based near Brighton, East Sussex. Salary £35,000 - £45,000 (dependent on experience). Term: Permanent. SRG are working with a well-respected, global company that specializes in the creation of speciality chemicals for several markets. They are undergoing an exciting growth journey and are looking for a Procurement Manager to lead a small purchasing team and drive procurement optimisation projects within the business.

Benefits include: discretionary bonus scheme, Christmas shutdown period, company pension, 37.5 hours per week with an early finish on Friday.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small purchasing team internally
• Carry out training, development and performance reviews of the team
• Understand current purchasing and stock management processes
• Identify areas for improvement to increase efficiencies
• Use the internal ERP system to its full potential
• Manage the full procurement process for a range of speciality chemicals
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers
• Create and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the suppliers
• Liaise with multiple departments in the business including Logistics and Sales

Requirements

• Recent CIPS qualification
• Proven recent experience as a Procurement Manager, ideally in a technical manufacturing environment but not essential
• On-site availability near Brighton 5 days a week
• Proactive approach and drive to deliver exceptional service
• Willingness to implement positive change and process improvements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
