About the Role

Passionate for change and implementation? GXO has the role for you! We are seeking a forward‑thinking, driven leader for Procurement Director based in our Lancaster House in Northampton, with travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology & Process Optimisation: Implement procurement tools (including spend analytics), optimise P2P processes, and introduce category‑specific solutions to enhance decision‑making and operational efficiency.
- Governance & Compliance: Strengthen procurement governance through standardised processes, contract management systems, and alignment with internal policies and external regulations.
- Performance & ESG Integration: Develop reporting frameworks and KPIs to track procurement performance, while embedding sustainability, ethical sourcing, and ESG principles into operations.
- Collaboration & Innovation: Provide leadership on key projects, identifying risks and opportunities. Partner with cross‑functional teams (Finance, IT, Legal, Operations) for seamless execution, foster and drive innovation and capability‑building initiatives.
- Procurement & Financial Expertise: Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), contract lifecycle management, financial governance, and compliance, ensuring cost control and transparency. Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or Finance/Accounting such as CIMA or ACCA required.
- Strategic Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to lead teams through change, manage stakeholders effectively, and align cross‑functional objectives with long‑term procurement strategies.
- Analytical & Technology‑Driven Mindset: Skilled in financial modelling, spend analytics, performance reporting, and implementing procurement technology roadmaps, including P2P optimisation.
- ESG Integration & Sustainability Focus: Strong understanding of ESG principles and their application in procurement processes, supplier engagement, and reporting.
- Personal Attributes: Highly adaptable, resilient, and results‑driven, with exceptional communication, integrity, and a genuine passion for sustainability and team development.
Benefits & Employment Details
- This is a full‑time, permanent position. You’ll be working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
