Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement manufacturing process improvement programs for the company.
  • Improve manufacturing methods; modify processes to improve safety and product quality, and/or reduce costs through lean initiatives.
  • Plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow; design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with Design and Purchasing teams to develop product design and tooling processes to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Support new valve and product launches through production using production launching tools and processes (i.e., APQP/PEP, PFMEA, Mistake - Proofing, Control Plan, Measurement System Analysis, Value Stream Mapping, DFM/DFA, etc.).
  • Establish new and improve existing prep, assembly, and test processes continuously.
  • Utilize statistical process controls to monitor production processes.
  • Streamline new product development projects.
  • Design new and improve existing assembly fixtures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
  • Lead and supervise the team to drive improvements to First Pass Yield, Productivity and more.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Mechanical Engineering preferred or experience in lieu.
  • Five to Ten years related experience or equivalent.
  • Supervisory experience a plus.
  • Three to Five years experience leading projects and teams.
  • Strong background in 3D modeling software, Creo preferred.
  • Strong background in assembly fixture design.
  • Strong background in process development preferred.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize projects.
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office Suite, DMAIC and TOC.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
  • Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific method.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the basic principles, theories, concepts, and practices in the applicable area of engineering/technical specialization.
