Job description

Have you ever looked at a drawing and instinctively known the best way to make it happen?

That’s exactly what this business needs… a Process Engineer just like you who can take a sales order, see the detail behind it, and translate that into a clear process that works first time on its manufacturing journey.

This isn’t about scheduling or capacity planning. It’s about guiding the manufacturing process from start to finish.

As Process Engineer, you understand what needs to happen to the lump of metal before it becomes a finished part, that meets every customer specification.

  • You decide which materials, treatments and testing are required.
  • You know when it needs heat treatment, coating or inspection, and how each stage impacts the next.
  • You turn all of that into job cards and route cards that make the process clear, efficient, and achievable…. You make plans that make sense in the real world, not just on paper.
  • You understand metal grades, processing methods and specifications inside out, and you’ve worked with a range of industry standards such as nuclear, subsea, oil and gas, petrochemical and defence.
  • You know what ‘good’ looks like, and how to get there without waste or delay.
  • You’ll work closely with sales, production and suppliers to make sure every detail lines up, spotting any gaps early so nothing slows the process down.

It’s varied, it’s technical, and it’s genuinely rewarding… you can turn an idea into something real.

But this Process Engineer role isn’t just about process, it’s about people too. You’ll be part of a team that genuinely looks out for one another.

You are joining into a culture where if you need help, someone steps in. Somewhere you’ll be encouraged to broaden your skills, not boxed into one corner. The kind of culture that makes people stay.

This is a business with stability and a strong pipeline of work, but it’s also a place that values fresh thinking. As Process Engineer, you’ll be listened to. If you see a better way to do something, they want to hear it.

What’s in it for you?

  • £40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday, with an early finish every Friday
  • Pension scheme (3% employer / 5% employee)
  • Employee assistance programme supporting wellbeing, finances and more
  • Modern, open-plan facility with on-site free parking

26 days annual leave plus bank holidays
