Overview

Process Engineer Coventry / West Midlands

Are you a detail-oriented Process Engineer eager to advance your career within a leading logistics company in the West Midlands? Key responsibilities
  • Lead or support in the development of concepts for use in formal customer proposals including, but not limited to, process flow diagrams, KPIs and facility layouts in complex cases with support of the solutions team
  • Lead the design of supply chain solutions from large and small scale (design of processes and lines/stations)
  • Acting as the regional engineering interface across multiple business areas
  • Translating operational briefs into engineering solutions and managing deployment
  • Leading process assessments and resolving operational pinch points
  • Supporting project launches, contractor management, and training plant engineering teams
  • Ensure engineering function is aligned with operations team and other support functions during RFQ and launch phase
  • Be able to translate high level operational briefs/objectives into defined solution proposals and progress and deploy into the live operation
  • Complete new MTM/MOST process assessments or update existing processes as required
  • Ensure clear and quantifiable data is available to show contribution to business made by individuals and function as a whole
  • Act as a trouble shooter when required, identify pinch points or problem areas, ensure root cause analysis is completed where appropriate and corrective measures are implemented into operations
  • Able to work independently and under own initiative on any site and ensure the delivery of engineering obligations/requirements as dictated by regional engineering management and local plant management.
  • Support in the training and developing of plant-based engineering teams and embed regional standards within sites
  • Complete root cause analysis where appropriate and identify corrective measures
What we re looking for:
  • Degree educated or equivalent experience in engineering or a related discipline
  • Lean and Six Sigma practitioner with strong change management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas), Word, Visio, and project management software
  • Proven leadership skills in project management and root cause analysis
  • Be a SME (subject matter expert) on engineering processes, tools and techniques including MTM, AutoCAD, SketchUp & excel
  • Any activity or function as deemed within the scope and capability of the role in the support of engineering function or operations
