About the role

As a Private Shopping Manager, you’ll partner with the Client Relationship Manager for your client portfolio to spot sales and growth opportunities, turning them into clear priorities and actions for your team. You’ll lead a high-performing group of Private Client Managers, Private Shoppers, and Private Shopping Assistants, driving their strategies forward and ensuring consistent success.

You will also be responsible for the below:

  • Having a passion for people management in order to set the vision, standards and expectations for your team, identify talent and participate in active daily and weekly coaching to enable high performance across the team.
  • Being in the Private Shopping spaces, observing appointments, in order to discreetly give recognition and feedback to your team.
  • Leading coaching conversations with your team as appropriate as well as being on hand for any client or operational matters.
  • Working closely with the Client Development Manager to regularly review client insight and identify new ways to delight them and deepen their relationship with Harrods. You’ll then translate that into actions and focus for PCM’s and Assistants.
  • Using department reports and insight to ensure exceptional delivery of objectives and KPI’s.
  • Constantly reviewing and monitoring department resource plans and capacity plans by shopper to ensure we have the right resource assigned to the right clients at the right time and in the right location.

  • Proven experience of building authentic relationships with high levels of trust - both with the client as well as internal and external stakeholders too
  • Proven experience of influencing and persuading key stakeholders into action
  • Strong decision-making ability and an autonomous approach
  • Global awareness of and curiosity for luxury lifestyle; staying up to date
  • Strong understanding of impeccable luxury standards
  • Experience of hosting client events is desirable
  • Ability to flex style to different audiences, cultures and clients
