Job summary

A leading technology company in Greater London is seeking an experienced lawyer to join their European Regulatory Privacy legal team. The role involves advising on various regulatory matters, including the Digital Markets Act and GDPR compliance. Candidates should be a qualified lawyer with at least four years of regulatory or privacy experience, capable of managing tight deadlines while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Qualifications

About the Team

We are looking for an experienced lawyer to join our European Regulatory Privacy legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in a company that is enjoying hyper growth on a truly international scale and advise on cutting edge products and features.

Responsibilities
  • Advise and support on regulatory engagement and investigations regarding data protection matters;
  • Support regulatory matters relating to Digital Markets Act, Digital Services Act, AI Act and other new and upcoming digital regulations in the EU and UK;
  • Assisting with and driving large cross-functional projects aimed at proactively bolstering GDPR compliance; support our privacy compliance programme, policies and procedures for TikTok in Europe;
  • Assess and advise on incident management and best practice under GDPR, NIS2 and the AI Act.
Minimum Qualifications
  • European or UK qualified lawyer with a minimum of 4 years’ regulatory and/or privacy experience at a law firm or in-house (in-house experience preferred). We will consider strong individuals with less or more experience;
  • Experience engaging with regulators, including data protection regulators preferable;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential;
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and capable of driving forward challenging projects;
  • Comfortable providing sound advice under tight deadlines and managing competing priorities;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate effectively with legal colleagues and other cross-functional stakeholders;
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within a similar platform environment.
