Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Principal/Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Mining, and Minerals sector to lead concept studies and engineering for mineral processing plants. The role covers layout, design and specification, with emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration and delivering compliant, high-quality project outputs.

You will coordinate with suppliers, manage complex projects, and travel within the UK and internationally.

Qualifications

• A Degree in mechanical or mineral engineering is required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to layout, design and specification of mineral processing facilities and related equipment.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to capture equipment requirements and ensure design integrity.
• Engage with equipment suppliers to meet project needs and ensure compliance with corporate and legislative requirements.
• Provide innovative engineering solutions and generate value-added options for clients.
