Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal / Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead concept studies and engineering for mineral processing plants within a multi-discipline environment. A degree in mechanical or mineral engineering is required, with the ability to specify equipment and coordinate with suppliers.

You will manage complex projects, lead cross-functional teams, and travel within the UK and internationally; the role offers hybrid working and opportunities to develop toward Chartership.

Qualifications

• A Degree in mechanical or mineral engineering is required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to layout, design and specification of mineral processing, metallurgical and hydrometallurgical facilities and materials handling for studies and engineering contracts.
• Specify and select equipment, engaging with the supply chain to capture project needs.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and legislative requirements and maintain project quality and consistency.
• Address and resolve functional issues using engineering judgement and generate innovative solutions in collaboration with WSP.
