Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal / Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Mining, Minerals sector to lead concept studies and engineering for mineral processing plants of various scales within a multi-disciplinary environment.

You will contribute to layout, design, and equipment specifications, liaise with suppliers, and ensure that engineering outputs align with project and regulatory requirements while driving value for clients and the firm.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical or mineral engineering is required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel within the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to layout, design and specification of mineral processing, metallurgical and hydrometallurgical facilities.
• Engage with equipment supply chain to ensure project needs are captured and engineering information is fed back into design.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements and deliver consistent project quality.
