Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to lead mining studies and provide expert advisory across projects from conception to completion. The role features flexible office/home balance and strong emphasis on mentorship and technical leadership.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team, applying robust life-of-mine planning and optimization skills while engaging with clients to deliver value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering or similar.
• Demonstrated experience in a mining role.
• Strong proficiency with mine planning software (Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac).
• Excellent communication, reporting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead mining studies and projects through all life-cycle stages.
• Advise on mining methods, development, life-of-mine planning, and optimization.
• Assist in cost modelling and economic analysis for options and projects.
• Support due diligence for mergers, acquisitions or project finance with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Interface between mine advisory disciplines and capital projects/asset management.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required for project work.
• Provide safety leadership and mentor junior engineers.
