Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal/Associate Engineer (Infrastructure Lighting) to lead and grow the Infrastructure Lighting Team. The role focuses on high-profile highway, rail, and aviation lighting projects across the UK and beyond, with a hybrid working policy.

You will manage technical excellence, mentor engineers, engage with clients, and help secure new work while coordinating cross‑office delivery and maintaining high standards of safety and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering with a focus on infrastructure lighting.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership preferred.
• Strong leadership and project management experience in lighting design.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Infrastructure Lighting Team across UK/international projects.
• Deliver advanced analysis and design of infrastructure lighting schemes.
• Engage with clients, develop opportunities, and coordinate cross-office delivery.
• Support environmental lighting impact assessments and asset management.
