Job summary

Mott MacDonald in the UK is seeking a Principal / Associate Engineer (Infrastructure Lighting) to lead the Infrastructure Lighting Team and support a growing workload of projects across the UK and globally.

The Transport and Mobility Solutions division designs highway, rail, and aviation lighting schemes, including major projects like Lower Thames Crossing. You will mentor engineers, engage clients, and help develop the team's capabilities while delivering technically excellent solutions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience leading a technical team and winning work.
• Strong personal interest in infrastructure lighting applicable to varied projects.
• Methodical problem solving with a focus on sustainability and decarbonisation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical management and leadership for infrastructure lighting engineers.
• Undertake lighting design/assessment and perform advanced analysis for complex scenarios.
• Engage with clients and other offices to generate new work and diversify workload.
• Line manage and develop team members, supporting career progression.
• Lead on major schemes as Infrastructure Lighting Discipline Lead.
