Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal / Associate Engineer (Infrastructure Lighting) to lead our Infrastructure Lighting Team on UK and international projects. The role combines technical leadership with business development, mentoring and coordinating lighting designs across highways, rail and aviation sectors.

You will advance advanced lighting analysis, develop cost-effective solutions, and manage client engagements while growing the team in a hybrid working environment that supports

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience managing a technical team and engaging with clients.
• Strong personal interest in infrastructure lighting across projects.
• Excellent IT and digital modelling skills for delivery.
• Methodical approach to problem solving including sustainability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a focus on development.

Responsibilities

• Performing advanced analysis for complex scenarios.
• Undertaking options selection and preliminary designs of infrastructure lighting.
• Designing or assessing all types of infrastructure lighting to develop cost-effective solutions.
• Providing infrastructure lighting asset management advisory services to clients.
• Recruiting, mentoring, leading and supporting new team members to grow the team.
• Engaging with clients to promote capabilities and secure new work.
