A leading engineering firm in Glasgow is seeking a Principal Highways Engineer to provide technical guidance on significant projects while mentoring team members. The role includes collaborating with various design teams and delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions. Candidates should have a relevant degree and experience in highway design. As a Principal Highways Engineer in our Transportation team, you’ll be pivotal in implementing ideas that shape the future of how we move. We work on a large variety of significant and challenging UK projects, alongside a broad portfolio of local transport projects with Local Authorities and Contractors. You’ll feel a great sense of pride in shaping high-quality civil and structural designs across new build, renewal, maintenance, and assessment works. You will collaborate with national and international design teams, using your insight and leadership to generate positive, sustainable impacts on society and the environment. This role requires you to be based from either our Glasgow or Edinburgh office a minimum of 3 days per week.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of UK residency of five years or longer.
