Mott MacDonald Bentley seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across projects, from concept through commissioning, in the UK water market. You will work with Motor Control Centres, LV distribution, cabling, instrumentation, and SCADA, ensuring designs meet standards and are fit for purpose.

You will mentor graduates and engineers, engage with clients, and collaborate with commercial and construction teams to deliver safe, practical solutions with a one-team approach.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Chartered membership in a professional institution (ICE/IMechE) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with water or wastewater projects is preferred.
• Delivery of high quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standards.
• Strong communication skills with team members and stakeholders.
• Proactive, pragmatic problem solving and ability to travel to sites.

Responsabilités

• Lead and oversee the design, planning, and execution of electrical engineering on projects.
• Work with Motor Control Centres, LV distribution systems, Cabling, Instrumentation, Industrial Networks, PLCs and SCADA.
• Provide design support and guidance for schemes, ensuring designs are fit for purpose and compliant with standards.
• Challenge client specifications and defend solutions to complex problems.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes and develop standard designs and digital tools.
• Act as technical checker on project documents and undertake reviews across teams.
