Mott MacDonald Bentley seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to drive electrical design across water treatment projects from concept to commissioning in the UK. You will work with Motor Control Centres, LV distribution, cabling, instrumentation, PLCs and SCADA, ensuring standards compliance and robust, safe solutions.

You will mentor graduates and engineers, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, review designs, and pursue innovative, sustainable improvements while travelling to sites as

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (e.g., ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with water, or wastewater, projects.
• Experience delivering high quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Proactive and pragmatic approach.
• Proficient in delivering results within short timeframes and managing your time efficiently.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review electrical designs for water treatment equipment on client sites (MC-Cs, LV, Cabling, Instrumentation, PLCs, SCADA).
• Produce and review technical specifications and procurement schedules; review supplier bids and submissions.
• Challenge client specifications and defend solutions to complex problems.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes with standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital tools.
• Act as technical checker on project documents and undertake technical reviews across teams.
• Manage interfaces and integration of design with other disciplines and documentation.
• Mentor graduates and engineers to develop knowledge and skills.
• Engage with client and project teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions; foster a one-team approach.
• Conduct site reviews to ensure buildability and integration with existing systems.
