Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across water sector projects in the UK, from concept through commissioning. You will work on MCCs, LV distribution, cabling, instrumentation, and SCADA, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency while mentoring graduates and engineers.

You will collaborate with clients and teams to meet project aims, travel to sites as required, and contribute to a sustainable, low-carbon approach in line with company standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering and chartered or incorporated status preferred.
• Experience delivering high-quality outputs in line with design, quality and safety standards.
• Strong communication with team members and stakeholders; willingness to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical engineering designs for water treatment equipment.
• Produce and review technical specifications and procurement schedules; assess supplier bids.
• Supervise and mentor graduates and engineers to grow their knowledge and skills.
• Apply design standards and client/WIMES standards in projects.
• Engage with the client to build relationships and support project aims.
