Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to UK water sector projects, delivering electrical design across feasibility, design, construction and commissioning stages. You will ensure integrated electrical systems from concept to commissioning, engaging with clients to meet project aims.

You will work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment, with opportunities to develop toward chartership, and travel to sites across Scotland and the wider region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Working towards IEng/CEng chartership with a relevant institution.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical designs for water treatment equipment on our client's site; work with Motor Control Centres, LV distribution, Cabling, Instrumentation, Industrial Networks, PLCs and SCADA.
• Apply all relevant design standards including Client and WIMES standards and legislation.
• Coordinate with the multidisciplinary design team to ensure designs are completed to the brief on programme and within budget.
• Produce technical specifications and procurement schedules; review supplier bids and submissions.
• Produce the URS for control systems; review FDS and attend FATs.
• Review existing installed systems to interface with site requirements from drawings and reports.
• Engage with the client, manage relationships and support them to achieve their aims.
