Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to design and build projects in the UK water market. You will shape electrical functions from concept to commissioning across multiple schemes and sites.

You will work with MCCs, LV distribution, PLCs and SCADA, ensuring designs meet standards and are delivered on programme and within budget. The role offers a clear path toward chartership and professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Working towards IEng/CEng.
• Effective communication with team and stakeholders.
• Methodical approach to problem solving.
• Willingness to travel to sites across your operational region.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical designs for water treatment equipment.
• Work with Motor Control Centres, LV distribution, Cabling, Instrumentation, PLCs and SCADA.
• Apply relevant design standards incl. Client and WIMES standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary design team to meet brief, programme and budget.
• Produce technical specifications and procurement schedules, review supplier bids and submissions.
• Produce URS for control systems, review supplier FDS and attend factory tests.
• Review existing installed systems for site interfacing.
• Engage with client, manage relationships and support project aims.
