Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Civil / Structural Engineer for a hybrid position in the UK. This role involves supporting various rail infrastructure projects such as stations and footbridges. Candidates should possess strong technical design skills, experience with Network Rail projects, and familiarity with design software like Tekla and Microstation. Senior Civil / Structural Engineer (Rail) | 9 Months Outside IR35 | Hybrid London, Liverpool, Manchester

I am looking for a Senior / Principal Civil / Structural Engineer to support on a wide variety of rail infrastructure projects including stations, platforms, Access for All footbridges, car parks and multidisciplinary framework works.

Expereince :
  • Strong technical design skills in civil and / or structural engineering
  • Ability to find practical and creative engineering solutions
  • Experience preparing and checking design packages on Network Rail projects
  • Knowledge of NR standards and multidisciplinary interfaces
  • Experience as (or working towards becoming) a Contractor's Responsible Engineer
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or actively working toward it (ICE or IStructE)
  • Experience mentoring and supporting technicians
  • Hands-on experience with relevant design software (e.g., Tekla, Microstation or CAD)
