Job summary

AECOM in the UK is seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to provide technical leadership across a portfolio of development-led projects, from site due diligence to masterplanning and construction support. The role supports growth and excellent client engagement across multiple sectors, including data centres.

You will work with ground, structural, mechanical, electrical engineers and project managers in the UK and overseas, mentoring teams while ensuring technical excellence, BIM

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE or equivalent) or operating at chartered level with leadership authority.
• Experience in development-led infrastructure engineering; data centre sector experience is a plus.
• Experience delivering complex civil infrastructure projects including road geometry, drainage, earthworks, pavements and underground services.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic civil engineering leadership and governance for development projects.
• Lead and review civil infrastructure designs and specifications for complex developments.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across the UK and globally.
• Mentor engineers to enhance capability and delivery excellence.
• Undertake project management responsibilities across a portfolio of schemes.
