Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to provide technical leadership across a selection of projects, from site due diligence and masterplanning to detailed design and construction support. The role will support business growth, client relationships, and the development of civil capability within a range of market sectors, including data centres.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE or equivalent) or operating at chartered level with demonstrated leadership.
• Significant experience in development-led infrastructure engineering, data centre sector a plus.
• Experience delivering complex civil infrastructure with roads, drainage and earthworks.
• Strong knowledge of planning, highways, drainage and utility processes.
• Understanding of BIM modelling and collaborative platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic civil engineering leadership and governance for development projects.
• Lead, review and approve infrastructure designs and buildable site solutions.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams across the UK and globally.
• Support client engagement, strategic asset planning and thought leadership.
• Undertake project management across a portfolio of schemes.
