AECOM is seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to provide technical leadership across a range of projects, from site due diligence to masterplanning, within the Civil Engineering Business Unit in the UK. The role focuses on developing client relationships, ensuring technical excellence, and supporting growth in markets including data centres.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE or equivalent) or operating at chartered level with leadership and authority.
• Significant experience in development-led infrastructure engineering, preferably in private/consultancy environments; data centre sector experience is a plus.
• Experience delivering complex civil infrastructure projects with design of development infrastructure including roads, drainage, earthworks, pavements and underground services using standard software.
• Strong knowledge of planning, highways, drainage and utility approval processes.
• Understanding of BIM modelling and collaborative platforms.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic civil engineering leadership and technical governance for development projects.
• Lead, review and approve civil infrastructure designs and specifications.
• Coordinate with other engineers and specialists across the UK and globally.
• Support client engagement, business development and thought leadership while mentoring engineers.
