Principal Civil Engineer

£55,000 - £60,000
Cardiff

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Civil Engineer to join a progressive, award-winning engineering consultancy based in Cardiff. This well-respected practice is growing steadily and is seeking an experienced engineer to become part of their busy Infrastructure team, delivering a diverse range of commercial and industrial projects across South Wales and beyond.

The Role:

• Leading the technical delivery of infrastructure schemes (highways & drainage)
• Providing technical leadership, oversight and QA to the engineering team
• Managing client relationships, fee proposals and project delivery
• Overseeing detailed design for S278, S38, S104 works + SuDS
• Reviewing design work, reports and calculations of junior engineers
• Helping support strategic growth and developing internal capability in Cardiff

What We’re Looking For:

• Experienced civil engineer with extensive UK consultancy experience
• Strong background in infrastructure design (highways / drainage / levels)
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil3D and MicroDrainage / Flow
• Someone who enjoys leadership and mentoring but still wants technical involvement
• Commercial awareness and confidence working directly with clients
