Location: Horsham & Surrounding Areas
Contract: Fixed-term (after feb half term until the end of the academic year)
Working Pattern: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Paid to scale (M1–UPS3)
Hours: School hours (typically 08:30–15:30)

Year 4 Teacher – Long-Term Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and confident Primary Teacher to take on a Year 4 class from after February half term through to the end of the academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys building strong relationships with pupils and making a meaningful impact over a sustained period.

You will take full classroom responsibility, delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils through a crucial stage of their Key Stage 2 journey.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons for a Year 4 class
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed learning environment
  • Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
  • Maintaining clear routines and high expectations for behaviour
  • Working collaboratively with support staff and following school policies
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 4 experience desirable)
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A reliable, enthusiastic, and proactive approach
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Confidence taking on full teaching responsibilities, including planning and assessment
