Job summary

A reputable educational recruitment agency is looking for a Primary School HLTA to join an outstanding primary school in Chelmsford, Essex. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering learning activities and assessing pupil progress. Candidates should have experience working with children and strong communication skills. This is a permanent, full-time position starting in January, with a daily pay rate of £98-£115.

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching core subjects to whole classes for over 3 months.
  • Good knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • Experience working with children with additional or special needs.

Academics are working with a fantastic primary school in Chelmsford, Essex who are urgently seeking a Primary school HLTA to join them from January on a permanent contract.

The role of a Primary school HLTA is to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. This may include planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils achievement, progress and development.

Someone with a HLTA qualification is desirable but not essential.

The ideal candidate should have over 3 months experience in a similar role where they covered and taught whole classes, covering teacher's PPA time and should have good knowledge of the national curriculum.
