Job description
Press Brake Operator
  • £15.89 per hour
  • 40‑hour day shift – 4 day working week

Working for a specialist engineering company based in Bacup, specialists in sheet‑metal fabrication and specialist welding. Due to an expanding order book my client are looking for an experienced press brake operator.

The Job
  • Operating and setting press brakes (AMADA)
  • Reading, interpreting, and working from engineering drawings
  • Responsible for operating machinery used to bend and shape metal sheets into various forms requiring high precision and accuracy.
About you
  • Time‑served Press Brake Operator with a minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Proven experience operating and setting press brakes (AMADA)
  • Confident reading, interpreting, and working from engineering drawings
Desirable
  • Skilled in working to tight tolerances; accurate bending and folding of sheet metal
  • Experience inputting data into CNC controls and adjusting machine settings
  • Sheet metal background
  • Experience with guillotines and general fabrication equipment
  • MIG welding capability to support fabrication tasks as needed
