Are you ready to take the lead in creating a safe welcoming and well-maintained environment for students and staff We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Premises Manager to join de Stafford Secondary School.

In this pivotal role youll oversee the management of our buildings and grounds ensuring compliance with GLF Schools policies and statutory obligations. From supervising contractors and managing maintenance schedules to promoting health and safety and driving improvements across the site youll play a key part in shaping a positive and secure learning environment for our school community.

Your opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and hands-on professional to make a real impact on the daily life of our school community. As Premises Manager at de Stafford Secondary School youll be at the heart of ensuring our buildings and grounds are safe secure and welcoming for students staff and visitors. Youll take ownership of compliance health and safety and maintenance planning while leading a dedicated site team and working closely with contractors and senior leaders. From managing budgets and strategic improvement plans to overseeing day-to-day operations this role offers variety responsibility and the chance to contribute to a thriving educational environment. What were looking for :
  • Proven experience in building and site maintenance including forward planning and problem-solving.
  • Strong knowledge of building compliance and health & safety standards with the ability to develop risk assessments and ensure safe practices.
  • Hands-on maintenance skills across areas such as plumbing carpentry and electrical work.
  • Experience managing and supervising a team including rotas and professional development.
  • Ability to commission and oversee contractors ensuring high-quality safe outcomes.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and respond flexibly to urgent requests.
  • Competent IT skills for compliance recording communication and managing systems.
  • Positive proactive attitude with strong communication skills and a commitment to creating a safe welcoming environment for students and staff.

About de Stafford School

de Stafford is an 11-16 comprehensive schoollocated in Caterham Surrey which joined GLF Schools MAT in December 2016. Theschool has a PAN of 180 students per year group. The school servespredominantly the local Caterham community with the majority of studentsresiding within the CR3 catchment area.

Start Date : As soon as possible

Salary : GLF Senior Specialist(dependent on experience)

Hours : 52 Weeks per year - 36hrs per week (Mon / Tue / Thu / Fri : 8 : 00 15 : 30 & Weds : 7 : 30 16 : 00)
