Overview
At Evolve Psychology Services, we empower our clinicians with the tools and support they need to focus on delivering exceptional care to children, young people, and their families. You will join a passionate, multidisciplinary team specialising in high-quality, evidence-based autism and ADHD assessments, through both NHS-funded and private pathways. This role is within our Exeter team and is a hybrid position with part-time and full-time options, with a minimum of three days a week commitment. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will contribute to comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments, helping to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses that lead to appropriate support and improved outcomes for families.
Main duties

- Conduct face-to-face structured observations as part of the assessment process.
- Complete remote developmental history interviews with parents and carers via Zoom.
- Collaborate in peer MDT diagnostic discussions, with senior clinician support where needed.
- Deliver clear, compassionate feedback to families.
- Produce accurate, timely clinical reports with the aid of our tools.
- Provide supervision, offer consultations to colleagues, quality-check reports, and contribute to service development projects where applicable.
- Travel to a clinic base for in-person assessments (hybrid role).

Job Description
Responsibilities
- Must hold HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist (e.g., Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychologist).
- Minimum of 1 year experience conducting diagnostic assessments for autism and/or ADHD in children and young people.
- Strong understanding of differential diagnosis in neurodevelopmental presentations.
- In-depth knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for autism and ADHD.
- Trained and experienced in diagnostic tools such as ADOS-2, ADI-R, etc.
- Effective time management and caseload organisation skills, with the ability to meet clinical deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and participate in collaborative diagnostic discussions.
- Highly developed written language skills for high-quality clinical reports.
- Strong communication skills with children, young people, and families, ensuring compassionate, clear, and professional interactions.
Travel to a clinic base for in-person assessments is required (hybrid role).
